Matt Hall Returns to Fly Spitfire
The Museum welcomes Red Bull Air Race Pilot, Matt Hall, back to Temora as he takes a break from the Air Race season. Whist not getting the result he had hoped for in Spielberg, Hall has his sights set on a successful campaign in the next race at Chiba. Before setting off for Japan, Hall will visit the Museum to fly the MkVIII Spitfire as part of Aircraft Showcase on May 21st.
WWII Fighters is the theme and in addition to seeing Red Bull pilot Matt Hall display the Museum’s Spitfire, spectators will be treated to flying displays from the Wirraway, Boomerang and Doug Hamilton’s newly restored P-40N Kittyhawk. The P-40N features on the cover of the latest Flightpath magazine which includes the full story on its restoration. For more details or to subscribe to Flightpath magazine CLICK HERE
To get the complete Aircraft Showcase experience visitors are encouraged to stay after flying has completed and chat with the pilots and the engineering team as part of Engineering Talk. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the aircraft maintenance operations at the Museum and the projects currently taking place within the engineering facility. Tickets are available to purchase ONLINE or you can purchase them upon you arrival at the Museum.
