All of us at the Temora Aviation Museum would like to welcome you into 2011 which is shaping up to be a huge year not only for the Museum but for Australian Aviation. Major events such as Australian International Airshow, RAAF 90th Anniversary Air Pilgrimage, AAAA Fly-in Echuca and the HARS Open Day all scheduled in the first quarter of 2011. The Temora Aviation Museum will be supporting all of these events as well as hosting our regular Aircraft Showcase days on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. The only exception to this is there will be no Aircraft Showcase on the 5th of March 2011 due to the Museums commitment at the Avalon Airshow on the same day.

To kick things off for 2011 the Museum will commence with Aircraft Showcase – Vietnam this Saturday featuring the Cessna O-1 Birddog, Cessna A-37B Dragonfly and the Royal Australian Navy Historic Flight Huey Helicopter. A feature film will be shown in the Display Hangar prior to the commencement of the flying program and interviews and talks with the pilots will take place throughout the day. Come and see the engineering work which is currently being undertaken at the Museums maintenance facility and have a look at the internal workings of the J-85 jet engine which powers the Cessna Dragonfly.

Saturday’s weather forecast for Temora is favourable for flying and we are ready to start this New Year with another successful Aircraft Showcase Day.
