Yesterday, May 1st was the 70th Anniversary of the opening of No.10 Elementary Flying Training School (10EFTS) in Temora and to mark the occasion the Temora Aviation Museum is offering one lucky visitor to this Saturdays Showcase event a flight in the Museum’s Tiger Moth. This aircraft actually served here at 10EFTS as a primary trainer between 1941 and 1945. This is a special event for the Museum and a rare opportunity for the lucky visitor who will enjoy the flight. To be eligible you must be over 18 years of age and be in attendance at the Museum this Saturday 7th of May. The winner will be announced during the day and must be ready to take to the skies following the completion of the Museum’s flying program. Some changes have been made to the original aircraft line-up. The Cessna 0-1 and Sabre are still scheduled to take to the skies but in place of the Cessna 0-2A and A-37B Dragonfly will be the Spitfire Mk.XVI, Tiger Moth, T-28 Trojan and the Historic Flight are providing some great support by sending the Huey Helicopter from Nowra to join the show. The celebrations in the air will be accompanied by the pilot talks and the engineering facility tour and demonstrations. With the autumn weather producing some spectacular days there is no better time to come and experience the difference at Aircraft Showcase.
