VOLUNTEERS

ABOUT OUR VOLUNTEERS

At the Temora Aviation Museum, we are incredibly proud of our amazing team of volunteers. Their dedication helps us fulfill our mission of preserving aircraft and honouring the men and women who are part of Australia’s military aviation heritage.

Our volunteers are involved in all sorts of activities around the Museum. They lead tours, assist in the gift shop, work on display projects, help out on flying days, and keep our facilities in top shape. Since our aircraft are kept airworthy, they are maintained by our skilled Engineering staff, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Our volunteers truly are the heart of the Museum, and we couldn’t do it without them.

HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

If you'd like to join our team of volunteers, you can download an application form and send it to us at Temora Aviation Museum, PO Box 263, Temora NSW 2666. Alternatively, you can email it to info@aviationmuseum.com.au. We'd love to have you on board!

After an interview, successful volunteer applicants can select two days for their trial period. Once the trial is completed, we'll arrange a meeting for an induction to familiarise you with the Museum's operations and the Volunteer program. Throughout the year, we also offer additional training sessions.

While there's no strict commitment required, we recommend volunteering around eight hours per month.
