FULL MOTION WARBIRD SIMULATORS

Our Warbird Simulators are full motion Flight Simulators that will allow you to feel what it was like to pilot the iconic Supermarine Spitfire MkXVI, The mighty P-51 Mustang, or the reliable P-40 Kittyhawk aircraft.


Travel back to the early 1940s, when the Temora Aerodrome and satellite fields housed the largest pilot training school established under the Empire Air Training Scheme. Your pre-flight briefing will take place in our 10 EFTS briefing room, beginning your immersion into the Period. Once your briefing is complete, it’s time to climb into the simulator of your choice and begin your flight.

  • Do I need flying experience to fly the simulators?

    No, there will be a short briefing before your flight explaining basic flight controls, and instructions will be given during your flight.

  • How long is my gift card valid for?

    Under Australian consumer law a gift card is valid for a minimum of 3 years from the date of purchase. The Museum will honour all gift card bought at the current rate for 3 years from the date of purchase.

  • Why don’t the planes have working guns?

    Our simulator experience is a warbird flying experience, not a warbird combat experience.

  • Are your simulators realistic?

    Our simulators have been flown by pilots who fly the real aircraft types that our simulators are based on. The Pilots were impressed with the realism.

  • Is there lots of room in the simulators?

    If you can get into and out of a car seat comfortably, you will be fine getting into and out of our simulators.

  • Do you have wheelchair access?

    Yes, we have a wheelchair lift to accommodate wheelchair users who are able to transfer themselves onto and off of the simulator seat.

  • Is there a minimum age limit?

    Minimum age to fly in the simulators is 10. Minimum age to control your flight is 12 years old.

  • Is there a maximum weight limit?

    The maximum weight limit is 150kgs.

  • Do I have to make a booking, or can I just turn up?

    To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking online as we cannot guarantee a slot on the day you are here if you haven’t booked. However, we will accept bookings on the day if slots are available.

  • Can I buy an experience as a gift for someone?

    Definitely, just select a gift card option when you are booking.

  • What if I need to reschedule?
