ADVICE TO PILOTS FLYING TO TEMORA

There is a new taxiway that runs parallel to 18/36. This taxiway is not in the current ERSA.

Air Services has advised that R406 and D427 are not temporary areas. They are permanent PRD areas that are activated by NOTAM and as such have defined lateral and vertical limits and are stored in NAIPS and the Restricted Area Briefing as location R406 and D427.

Temora has an ERSA entry warning pilots that R406 and D427 may be activated on weekends and for pilots to check their PRD NOTAM.

When checking NOTAMs for Temora in addition to YTEM, you must specifically enter D427 and R406 in the Location Briefing section. If you type 240 in the validity section, it will look forward 240 hours (10 days) for upcoming NOTAMs.

From time to time Temora Aerodrome has R406 activated due to displays and display practice. R406 is also activated when high speed jet activity exceeding 250kts is operating in the vicinity of the Aerodrome.
